Filled with loads of riffs of sharp, bright Leads, Lush DX EPS chords, heavy Detroit Bass lines, versatile rhythms & palettes on top of Jays signature polyrhythms. Coming off his last LP "Horizon" which was focused on society and internal reflection of 2020's pandemic lockdown, "HEAT" is as Jay puts it, is "Slappin MFs Awake!".

"I've been waiting for a couple years now to drop this onto the world, i'v felt I'm too much of a musical genius for people to still be JUST now finding out about me. SO i wanted to make a hell of a statement with this LP and wake MFs up who's been sleepin on me."

"This LP is by far my fav work i'v done to date, which says a lot given my catalog iv dropped so far. This is truly for the Summer, hence the title & the particular composition throughout this body of work which is essentially a Soundtrack for the Summer ventures. Some tracks purely for the Sunset drives, some for Sunrise drives & others for the night life. It plays a lot off my upbringing in the 90s & how i see the Summer & the memories i have that went into making this project of greatness. Pulling from both my lived experience from the Midwest back home to living on the West Coast is what curated HEAT."

"HEAT" is drenched with head bangers and body sweaters, filled with emotion that will carry from the Nostalgic & back to the Modern without skipping a beat. Rather it's Detroit's "Woodward Phunk" which Jay calls upon the genre "D Funk" that combines Detroit House & Funk, or it's "Keys 2 The City" that will put you in the mind of New Jack City vibes of the NYC 90s or maybe it's Jays "Dreamer" which is a Lush smooth ride of RollerSkate bliss of the late 90s R&B & Jazz Fusion."

Jay once again showing his range and bringing heavy amounts of storytelling to his music and back to Musicianship, so best believe which ever track pulls you in, it'll take you for a ride for this..is...HEAT.
