What is "Summer Vacation" about?

Jay says
"I wanted to create something from various life experiences that reminds me of what makes Summer feels like to me. The nostalgia once Summer is over, the unexpected turns of romance, love, even sometimes lust. The pure joy of being out late with great company and creating memories on the spot and remembering those memories when it's time to go home from a fantastic journey of emotions. That is what Summer Vacation is about for me. Something that is unexpected, yet planned. A rollercoaster of emotion turned into memories left as nostalgia."

That is exactly what you hear in this Summer influenced 6 track coast of emotions & atmospheric vibes. Jay continues to show the world who he is on a intimate level through his music.
From his signature warm pads to his vintage synth polyrhythms.

Kicking off his 4th EP with a hypnotic four four "Open Road" for the dancers to the hit the club.
Which carries a constant sharp Hi-Hat, deep Larry Heard influenced bass lines with warm lead keys & gentle warm guitar licks that gives off an nostalgic never ending road trip experience.

Then bringing in for the 1st time his Modern Funk/Boogie side to the light with "Summer Night Grooves". Filled with a heavy bass line that would make anyones face scrunch up, accompanied by the legendary sounds of the Linn Drum to keep the rhythm going and a crazy lead coming in & out that adds an extreme amount of texture of Funk.

Summer Vacation is full of unexpected surprises just as Jay stated a great summer vacation would be.

One of those surprises is Jay's debut R&B song "Get Away", Ft. DMV's "Josefine" again & Las Vegas's "Shantiliy". With a warm space like pads, echoing FX's as a deep kick as its foundation.
Keeping you memorized with the beautiful voice of "Shantiliy" & the vocals of "Josefine".
Truly a sexy composition of creativity and beauty coming together that would put anyone in the mood.

No matter the occasion, Summer Vacation is truly there to take anyone on a musical journey of feeling & nostalgia.
This is a great piece of work to have for any road trip, or summer vacation or just ride in the night.
